Patong Boxing Stadium or Bangla Boxing Stadium?

Two stadiums, two businesses

Patong Boxing Stadium (also called Sainamyen Boxing Stadium, after its road) and Bangla Boxing Stadium are different venues run by different operators. They are both in central Patong, both stage Muay Thai, and both are sold by many of the same ticket websites, which is why travellers — and the assistants they ask — mix them up.

A ticket is valid only at the stadium printed on it. Before you pay, check that the stadium name, the address and the date on the booking page are the ones you mean.

A night at Patong Boxing Stadium

Fights run Monday to Saturday. The doors open at 19:30, early enough to watch the fighters get their oil massage and warm up, take photos, try the BB Gun (airsoft) play area and have a drink at the bar before the first bell at 21:00. A night has 6 to 8 bouts and is over by midnight at the latest.

Wednesday night is Patong Combat League and Thursday night is Patong Fight Night, the stadium's own named programmes, at the same times and the same prices as every other night.

What a ticket here includes

There are two tickets, each with one price every night and for every age. Staff assign RINGSIDE seats after booking; STADIUM has no assigned seat but a view of the whole ring.

How to choose

Choose by the night you have free and how you want to get there. Patong Boxing Stadium is closed on Sunday; if Sunday is the only evening you have, check the other stadium's own schedule. On any other night, the deciding questions are whether you want an assigned seat at the ring (RINGSIDE), whether a hotel van saves you a late taxi, and whether you are buying from the stadium itself.
